You were playing with an A-Z puzzle. Lifting the letter A, you found an Airplane. You pointed at it and looked up at me and exclaimed “Oma”. I looked at you a bit confused. You pointed at it, Said “Oma” Tsk. “Opa” … like “why don’t you understand”. Then it dawned on me. When Oma left, we all drove her to the airport and we saw the airplane that Oma was going on to go back to Opa in Mexico.

Such a smart girl.

I’ve been remiss at updating your blog, having been busy with your cousins visit and now trying to catch up. You were thrilled to have Jackie and Jamie to play with, and loved playing with them, swimming together and playing indoors and out. You were a little guarded of daddy as Jamie was being carried by him on father’s day but you soon got over it when you realized how much fun she was to play with. Jackie was like a little mother to you, always caring for you gently and with great attention. We had your first trip to the Santa Cruz boardwalk and you went alone with Jamie on a boat ride, which you loved. You clapped and waved as you went around. I realized from day one that when they left you were going to really miss your cousins when they left..

Your Oma was also so fun for you to have… she taught you "Ring around the rosie, a pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down" and now you will completely unaided start to twirl in circles and look at me with a wishful expectation.

Since your cousins left, you have been walking to the fridge and pulling down their photos, taking them over to the couch and placing them there. With hands in air, you make an intonation as if to ask where they went. I wish I could explain, and I know you’ll be very excited to see them again in a month.
See Photos from visit.

This is a short entry, more coming soon, but wanted to get this posted before any more time slipped away.

Also, you are now able to drink using a straw and also a little cup with a slanted rim, called a doidy cup. You bring it up to your lips, look in, and sip gingerly. Sometimes it tilts more than you expected and you look a tad surprised as it flows down your chin.
